Norovirus (Caliciviridae family) is the leading cause of acute gastroenteritis globally and exhibits significant genogroup variation (GI, GII, GIV, GV, GVI). The non-enveloped, 38 nm icosahedral virion is composed of VP1 (major capsid) and VP2 (minor capsid) structural proteins. VP1 is the primary target for neutralizing antibodies and vaccine development. Norovirus-specific recombinant antibodies, nanobodies, and VP1 antigens enable seroprevalence studies, vaccine immunogenicity assessment, diagnostic assay development, and therapeutic antibody discovery.
Research Use Only (RUO)Not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

abinScience provides recombinant antibodies, nanobodies, and VP1 antigens for Norovirus research across multiple genogroups. All products manufactured by AtaGenix Laboratories under ISO 9001 & ISO 13485. Contact us for vaccine and diagnostic development.
VP1 (Major Capsid Protein) — VP1 comprises ~90% of virion protein mass and is highly variable across genogroups (GI, GII, GIV, GV, GVI) and genotypes. VP1 is the primary immunogenic antigen driving neutralizing antibody responses and vaccine protection. Recombinant VP1 antigens (VK441011) serve as ELISA coating antigens and vaccine immunogens. Recombinant antibodies (VK441073, VK441083, VK441113, VK441133) and nanobodies (VK441023, VK441043, VK441063) enable epitope mapping, neutralization assays, and therapeutic antibody discovery.

VP2 (Minor Capsid Protein) — VP2 (~10% virion protein) stabilizes virion structure and participates in assembly. VP2-specific detection reagents support virion quality assessment and structural biology studies.

Non-Structural Proteins — Protease and RdRp (NS1-NS7) are emerging targets for antiviral drug development and viral life cycle studies.
Seroprevalence & Epidemiology — VP1 ELISA assays enable population serosurveillance, outbreak investigation, and strain-specific immunity tracking.
Vaccine Development — Genogroup-specific VP1 antigens and neutralizing antibody quantification support potency testing and immunogenicity assessment.
Diagnostic Assay Development — VP1 antigens and paired recombinant antibodies enable sandwich ELISA, lateral flow, and molecular assay development.
Therapeutic Antibody Discovery — Broadly neutralizing antibodies (VK441133) enable passive immunization and post-exposure prophylaxis studies.
