背景

Peptidase 1 (Der p 1/DERP1) is a ~36 kDa protein. Thiol protease, with a preference for substrates with a large hydrophobic side chain in the P2 position, or with basic residues. Cleaves and activates the host G protein-coupled receptor MRGPRX1.
